The Travellers Rest

1. Sunday lunch is great. Quite a small menu on a Sunday as most people obviously having Sunday lunch. There was quite a good selection of desserts available.
   I had the lasagna which was ok. Nice garlic bread and the chips are mega. Proper hand cut deep fried chips.
   The staff were very friendly and attentive and allowed us to take a cake for a birthday.
   There wasn’t many parking spots and was quite busy at lunch on a Sunday so if you can car share might be a good idea.

2. Decided to give it a go for Sunday dinner. We were not disappointed.
   Staff were friendly, and it was a quick service. Food was hot, tasty, and good portion sizes. It’s definitely worth the money. We will be back and would recommend to anyone wanting good pub grub.

3. Must be our 2nd or 3rd time coming and it’s been brilliant every time! Lovely and friendly staff, the food is beautiful and is a very reasonable price, the area and atmosphere always spot on, highly recommend!

4. Fantastic food lovely friendly pub
   We bring my mum dad who is from Brighton to you as they love everything about the team & how the pub is.
   The only thing I was disappointed on there was no vegetarian curry like before or no Sunday roast on for a vegetarian.

5. Arrived without a booking on pie night. How naive. Landlord told us it books up days before. However, he took pity on us and squeezed us in with the proviso that we’d have to be done before the booked people arrived. No complaints from us!

   Food was tasty, well-cooked and cheap (two pie meals for £13).

   Nice place, friendly staff, lovely spot. Give it a go.
