  1. Very centrally located but still not so crowded, modern design, run by Greek 🇬🇷 folks.l, and it is very busy.
The coffee was good and Theo’s breakfast excellent!
Also there are outdoor seating, and if you are in the right spot and right time, you can sit in the 🌞 sun.
    So, life is good 👌

  2. Came by to take a break from the long walk all day, and absolutely love the picturesque street we sat along 👍🏻

Both drinks were good, nothing to shout about.

But the ambience and seats outside the cafe though, they are reserved for diners only, and the staff do come out from time to time to check and let people know.

Great spot for a break from the walk with amazing views on both ends of the cafe 👍🏻

  3. Their hot food is a must-try! Delicious. I recommend to seat on the ground floor or outdoors so that you can enjoy the beauty of Broad Street and Oxford ambience. One of the staff told us that chicken is halal. But I encourage Muslim reviewers to reconfirm again with the staff if they would like to have chicken and drop a review 👍🏽

  4. We visited Theo’s Café on Broad Street yesterday and were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our experience. We ordered two hot chocolates and took a cozy table near the stairs. The hot chocolates were simply delightful—rich, warming, and just the pick-me-up we needed for our busy day ahead. The beverage gave us that extra energy boost for our engagements, making it a perfect start to our visit.

The café itself is delightfully quaint, with a charming atmosphere. We especially loved the small, cozy indoor shed—it’s a unique touch that adds to the café’s warm and inviting vibe. One thing that truly stood out was the level of cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom facilities, which were spotless and could rival those of a 5-star hotel! That attention to detail speaks volumes about the care put into maintaining the space.

The only downside we noted was that the bathroom facilities are located up some stairs and don’t cater for disabled visitors. While this wasn’t an issue for us, it’s something to keep in mind for those with mobility concerns.

As for the staff, they were absolutely wonderful—polite, happy, and engaging. Their warm smiles and friendly attitudes made our visit even more enjoyable. Theo’s Café also offers a fantastic range of pastries and sub rolls, making it a great spot for a quick bite or a leisurely coffee break.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Theo’s Café and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the excellent service to the cozy atmosphere, it’s a true gem in the heart of Oxford. 5 stars.

  5. Extremely welcoming staff and the most delicious pastries in Oxford. My students and I go for coffees, pastries and food and always happy with everything there.I usually ask for my favourite Greek coffee with freshly baked pastries and they serve it the way that customer prefers. All pastries are freshly baked, coffees are professionally made and always served with smiles. The best customer service in Oxford.
Highly recommended cafe which is just in front of the oldest and prettiest Balliol College.
