Toby Carvery Lower Earley

1. Meat cuts from carvery were very small, also the chefs behind the carvery did not say anything and felt like they did not want to be there. It was disappointing as we have been to other Toby carveryS a where the food was great and portions just right. Only the beef dripping potatoes were up to par.
   Cauliflower cheese had no taste, not seasoned and no cheese at all, it was a new pot and clear to see a tiny drizzle or something of what is supposed to be cheese was put in with maybe paprika however there was very little taste. The vegetables were all very dry, the peas, the sprouts (and tiny) and all the tongs and spoons were too hot to handle for adults let alone children. The only saving grace was our server at our table however as for the food, very disappointed I’m afraid. I hope someone can review this from management and make amends however not sure I’ll return to this particular branch.

2. Great place and good foods. The only thing is we have been waiting for 30 mins, the chef didn’t let the waitress know, our food is ready. Until we have to go to the carvery counter, ask for it. The server is very friendly and attentive. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the food.

3. We went for a festive birthday meal and had their special Christmas roast. We were served by Hannah and she was absolutely delightful. Very filling food and we shared a Christmas pudding. Would recommend for a hearty meal with a great family friendly atmosphere.

4. My family went for my mothers 80th. They were so attentive and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing. Lauren was our server and she was amazing. There were 9 off us. She handled all of us with ease. Cant praise her enough.

5. Great carvery, when you can’t be bothered to spend all day making a roast at home, a carvery does the job. Cheap, choose the meats you want, choose the vegetables you want. I rarely eat a desert, I never feel like I have room for one. Allergy menu available for those who need to avoid things. On today’s visit, the vegetarian gravy was a bit lumpy, but it’s usually good. Waitress asked if we were ok. Reliable place for anyone who wants to avoid cooking today and likes their traditional fare.
