Trubshaws Restaurant @ The Diplomat Hotel

1. We were a group of 9, there was a wedding going on at the same time. We all ordered totally different things, all arrived together well cooked and timely. So no issues with the kitchen not coping, well done!Not one of our party had a bad thing to say about the food, all said it was really good. Great service, there was always a member of staff to hand. The restaurant looks like it’s recently been done up, so it’s quite slick. The house wines didn’t disappoint either. It all made for a very pleasant evening. I can’t think of anywhere else nearby that could match this for quality and service. The burger was described as fantastic and the venison pie was spot on.

2. Here on holiday and booked in the restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Arrived to find a wedding party taking place with 250 guests. The place was a shambles. My wife ordered steak which when it came was as tough as old boots. Far too busy to check with us. We did complain and was offered a bottle of wine as compensation. Little help for the fact that our celebration meal was totally spoilt. Won’t ever go there again and would certainly not recommend it. Gave one star only because that was the lowest option.

3. Fantastic food, surprising menu, super freindly staff. Perfect after a few hours of swimming and relaxing in the spa. Thank you! 🙂

4. Went for Sunday lunch food was excellent, staff were brilliant couldn’t do enough for us they were polite but. friendly Highly recommend a visit
