Turtle Bay Oxford

1. Chanced upon this highly rated shop in Oxford and thought we should give it a try while we are here and man, it’s one of our favourite food in UK! 💯

   Reached slightly past 12 on a Sunday, and had only counter seats for the three of us – which was seemingly a good choice since we were greeted with a bartender (as photo) who is super amazing! He always had a smile on and even gave us some free shots from the cocktails seeing that we enjoyed them 🤣🤤

   The chicken was so tender, so much so that the breast portion almost melts in our mouth!

   Tapas wise, we enjoyed the prawn one a whole lot, that spice in the sauce was just way too delicious 🏆

   We felt that the cocktails were okay, the raspberry ones were a little sweet, and the martini wasn’t a hit for me – but it all had a good amount of liquor, and was even 1 for 1 when we were there (hence why the double cocktails)!

   There also also chains in London itself, so definitely will recommend this to folks who love a great tapas and and 1-1 cocktails! 🍸

2. My first visit to Turtle Bay and I wasn’t disappointed! Lovely vegan food and great service from Dom and Clay. My daughter was delighted to find cocktails were 2 for 1, a nice surprise! Great vibes, always good to have a bit of Bob Marley playing in the background.

3. We came at about 8:30pm and they were unfortunately out of the full rack of ribs (which we were really looking forward to). However, the lamb, corn on the cob, squid and the wings were amazing.

   Great flavour, complemented by the sauce available on the table.

   Good kick too for spicy-lovers.

   Beer on tap is not plentiful, but the pale ale and lager were good. Gins, specials, cocktails are available and probably more what Turtle Bay is known for.

   Highly recommended, don’t miss out if you’re in Oxford.

   *PS the tea towels used for napkins are a bit old and tattered, they shed a bit on us. Probably a recommendation to the venue to maybe upgrade or ditch the old ones. 😉

4. Omg where do I start. Cocktails were so good and 2 for 1 deal makes it even better. Also the food was good too. Got the Jerk Mixed Platter and it was really good. I really want to say something wasn’t up to par but I can’t think of anything at all. Everything was amazing. I guess the whole team was on point today (05/09/24).

5. Me and my partner stayed in Oxford at the weekend and came in on the Sunday night.
   The staff were lovely and the food was incredible.
   It was my first time trying Turtle Bay and I can definitely say I’ll go back one day
