Uplands Roast

1. Best hot chocolate I’ve ever had in my life. It was visiting the campus and this was recommended to us by our tour guide. She said she was made of 80% hot chocolate and 20% water and now I know why. They give you a piece of chocolate on the top of the cup and that you can either eat or drop into the cup. It’s the perfect temperature for the weather. Save the marshmallow for the end. When you eat it then, it will be soaked with the hot cocoa and still firm enough to chew. I’d go back to Edinburgh just for this.

2. Not sure if I loved the place more or the walk to get there. Such a beautiful street and park. The base for the signature hot chocolate is pretty basic/reminiscent of a homemade cup but the toppings, especially the roasted marshmallow, makes up for it.

3. one of the nicest hot chocolates I’ve had! there was a queue when I got there but it went down very fast and super quick service! definitely recommend and would love to go back! cost me £4 which isn’t bad for the quality.

4. Cute hot chocolate stand with very aesthetic drinks. Love that they have a vegan option with big marshmallows! It had a big line and took about 15-20 mins to get a drink but worth it for the pics alone. I found my hot chocolate to be too sweet but I’m sure it’s ideal for most.

5. I think this is one of the best hot chocolate bars I’ve ever visited. It is a takeaway cabin, but they provide some seats next to their cabin. We went right after they opened, and we were served almost instantly. It is located next to the park, so you can enjoy your morning hot chocolate or coffee while walking at the park. I can only recommend trying out this place.
