  1. Lovely cafe to eat a sandwich with award winning fillers. Services takes a little while as it can get really popular but the food is definitely worth the wait. There is a butchers next door and the selection is very vast. Would recommend for a nice lunch date

  2. Was told I should really try the cafe so I did, ordered a bacon sandwich and oh my gosh this is the gold standard of bacon sandwiches! Delicious granary bread filled with lots of perfectly cooked bacon, and I mean filled! And the coffee is so good. Will definitely be visiting again.

  3. Thought I would drop in last week for an All Day Breakfast treat ! Was rather disappointing though to be honest. The bacon was all small pieces and no fat and very dry and overcooked, maybe had been cooked earlier and kept warm for a few hours ? Black pudding was thinly cut, didn’t notice any back fat in it and again overcooked and dry, very strongly flavoured to the point of being unpleasant. The chipolata sausages on the other hand were bland and uninteresting with no noticeable flavour or seasoning. The eggs were somewhat flaccid and the yolks overcooked, leaving the whole plate rather dry and unappealing. The bread though was nice and the best bit, but the small teapot of tea for £2.60 was very weak and tasteless despite brewing for ten minutes plus. Maybe it was a bad day as lots of other good reviews, but for me on the day I visited would be 6 out of 10 at best, not awful but not great.

  4. Came here for breakfast with family and a dog. Bit of a wait for a table but the food was worth it. The picture is of eggs Benedict on toast with bacon. It was the dogs 10th birthday and he got a nice bone. It’s a regular haunt of his. All the dogs were well behaved. Toilet was clean.

  5. Award winners and you can see why! Absolute pleasure, lovely place with very high quality food, great friendly team and lots to try! Highly recommended! Probably the best bacon and black pudding in the UK. Hope to visit again soon.
