Walnut Tree Farm – Dining & Carvery

1. Bit out the way this place but is worth the trip as the carvery is a good one! They boast an impressive bar and friendly smiley staff working tables (that are nice and clean)
   It’s always busy here and I think the competitive prices and novel cake stand are the main reasons for this.
   I had the carvery and to finish a not so modest slice of mars cake with custard. (This thing was huge coming in at just under 1600kcals)

   All in all a great family place or somewhere to head to for a cheap and plentiful meal with mates.

2. The hotel where we stayed recommended this place when we asked for something children friendly and nearby.
   We tried to book a table through the website but it kept saying that the chosen timeslot was taken. When we just went there,there was enough space for us to sit next to the children’s playing area.
   There is also plenty of parking space.
   We choose the carvery foe us. You choose between three different size of plates. Then you take your plate and get to fill it with food. Most of the things you can choose from are rather healthy. So vegetarians have enough choice of veggies. There are also 3 different kind of pies you can have in addition.
   Trust me,with the carvery you get enough to eat. You can stack you plate as full as you want. Just be polite and eat what you take.
   There are also desserts like ice cream but we were so full from the carvery that we would not have managed.
   Our daughter enjoyed coming here,she had a great time and we did not have to keep an eye on her the entire time so we got to enjoy our meal in peace…but for the shouting kids of course.

3. Good carvery, good selection of veg.
   Staff very friendly.
   Small outdoor play area for kids and a larger indoor one.

   ‘Normal’ non-carvery menu looks good with a big selection to choose from.

   Plenty of parking.

   The slices of cake are MASSIVE (and available to take home if you’re too full from your main meal).

4. Had the most amazing brownie. It was so chocolatey and the size was massive. From aomeone that loves brownies, I have to say this was one of the best. Had it to take away which was a really good idea as I don’t always want to eat dessert after a main. Definitely come back here for their brownies and to try their cakes.

5. Great friendly staff. Just as considerate/helpful customers (helped take drinks to our table) great value for money. Wonderful new play area. Choice to book table in surrounding part of play area. Staff were so helpful, we couldn’t have asked for better service. Really really impressed. Great pub, well thought out.
