Whiski Bar & Restaurant

1. It wasn’t the high rating that pulled me in, but also the amazing photos of others experiences with an urge for Haggis which I’d longed for.

   There was a new twist on the national dish in tower form, and it was an absolute spectacle when the plate arrived in front of me. How the haggis and potato has been constructed with the sauce was a absolute delight, eating wasn’t ony easy but well enjoyed.

   I’d gone back the day after and had the sausage & mash, and they don’t hold back on the sausages as they were a grand size which most vendors should take not of as that’s what the dish is about.

   However the great service was displayed when I asked for a whisky. Though I didn’t know what I wanted the staff were able to ascertain my flavour profile and make suggestions of 2 different whiskeys, that were thoroughly enjoyed.

   This bar is a great place to enjoy time on your own, or with good company which you’ll make with the friendly staff or other customers you’ll meet. If you want a great experience of Scottish food and culture, then do swing by this Whiski bar! 🥃 😋

2. Five stars for the atmosphere and two for the food. I had the fish and chips and while the fish was hot, my chips were cold. Husband had the haggis and he said it was alright, not the best he’s had. I had to ask twice for condiments. But the pub itself is a gem with delicious selection of drinks. We would come back for a pint or drink.

3. The atmosphere, service staff and ambiance were all good. However, the food is another story. Although it was edible, the food was sub-par at best. My chicken with mushroom gravy tasted like it came directly from a “hungry man” frozen dinner. The potatoes were instant, the peas were frozen. The chicken and gravy were not made “in house”. My wife’s chicken sandwich was extremely dry and potatoes were the same instant variety. My friend’s burger was just ok, according to him. I would highly recommend going to the establishment for the drinks, music and ambiance, just not the food. So, go and have a great time, but just indulge your appetite prior to going.

4. When it comes to local food this is a great place to visit. My wife and I had lunch there while visiting the city. This place had a very warm and welcoming vibe, the servers were nice and despite the food taking longer than expected it was worth the wait

5. After a long and exhausting day of travel, we came here for dinner. We were fortunate to be seated right next to the band, allowing us to enjoy the music up close. The food was average, and the cocktails were decent, but the atmosphere was perfect.
