1. The food was nice and you get good sized portions. The male server was really nice and friendly. We came in on a tuesday and like I said the male server was lovely, helpful and really friendly. BUT the 2 female servers were grumpy, unfriendly and not an asset to your business. They both let the side down. Our whole group felt they were rude and they didn’t smile, say very much or smile. They didn’t look like they wanted to be there or like they knew what customer service was. Was a real shame because the food was really nice.

2. Excellent dog friendly breakfast joint. The servings were huge and full of good things – vegetarian breakfast had 2 of everything so would be easy to share! The coffee was good too!

3. This is a great eatery, really lovely environment, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Lush sea views! Fantastic staff and excellent food. Working in Barry over the summer and this fast became my favourite place to have brunch, lunch and get much needed refreshments. Love the frappes! Vegetarian and Vegan options. Love the sourdough sandwiches! Amazing cakes! Most of all the staff make this place because they are super relaxed but offer a first class service.

4. This goes down as a 5 star for me. Now I have to say the food is great but not fantastic. The sourdough, the bacon were excellent. That bread was toasted perfectly – crisp but not hard. The bacon is one of the rare few I’ve tried in the UK where it is still moist and not dry. The award-winning sausages are passable and the harsh browns are as bad as they get – soggy and hard at the bottom. But what pushes this place over the top is the whole setup. The place is beautiful in my opinion. The setting by the beach makes it an ideal place to hang out and read. It is children and dogs friendly and while I was there, they added for the most adorable sights. I was alone and didn’t have time to try the cakes but they do look delightful. As an outsider, not from Cardiff, I would definitely make the drive again to eat and hang out here. The surrounding area with the amusement park, mini-golf and game arcades just add a whole out-of-this-world feel.

5. 9.am Saturday Morning…Went in to have breakfast after a long drive. What a fab breakfast!! (Sorry was so busy enjoying it forgot to take pics) Standard English – Sausage mushrooms egg (however you wanted it) bacon hash browns a nice chunk of warm buttered sourdough bread and a (large!) tea. No problem swapping items out..(because beans just don’t belong on a breakfast)…Delivered to our table in under 10 mins. Great way to start the day. If we’re ever back in Barry, we’ll be back!
