  1. During our visit, we opted for the classic fish and chips, paired with perfectly chilled cider. The fish and chips were exceptional—the batter was crispy and golden, encasing fresh, tender fish that was cooked to perfection. The chips were equally delightful, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Accompanied by tangy tartar sauce and mushy peas, the meal was a true delight.

The perfectly chilled cider was a refreshing complement to our meal, enhancing the overall dining experience. Sipping the crisp, cold cider while taking in the panoramic views of the bay was an absolute highlight.

However, during peak times, the restaurant can become quite busy, which may lead to slightly longer wait times for seating and service. Despite this, the quality of the food and the breathtaking views make it well worth the wait.

Overall, Y Consti Restaurant offers a memorable dining experience in Aberystwyth. The excellent fish and chips, refreshing cider, and spectacular views combine to make it a must-visit spot for anyone in the area. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely lunch or a relaxing dinner with a view, Y Consti is sure to impress.

  2. Great location at the top of Constitution Hill, with views across the coastline. Can be accessed via the charming funicular Cliff Railway (which is well worth the ticket price), or really earn your tea and cake by walking up the hill! The cafe has a decent-sized menu, with options from cakes and light bites to more substantial lunches. There are indoor and outdoor tables and a small giftshop selling souvenir keyrings and postcards.

  3. Spectacular views over Aberystwyth. Spent an enjoyable day in the area. Took the funicular railway up and down. Was looking forward to seeing the camera obscura but was unfortunately closed for renovations. Next time!

  4. After a 5 mile coastal walk from Borth, it was a welcome sight at the end. Nice cool drink and tasty food, with great view of Aberystwyth. So if you walk or catch the cliff railway, it’s a great location on a sunny day.
