Calton View Cafe

1. Was looking for a chill cafe near Waverly station and this place did not disappoint. Good vibes, good food and coffee. Best part of our visit was when we had a chance to chat with the owners (Ada & Cem). Got great tips on places to visit. Appreciated also the thoughtful coffee art message when we shared that we’re celebrating. Will definitely come back!

2. Such a great little spot in Edinburgh. The food was amazing, coffee delicious but most of all the staff was incredibly attentive and nice.

   We initially came for breakfast, which was very fulfilling. Therefore we returned later that afternoon because we had to try the cannoli.

   Can’t recommend this place enough, we’ll be back next year!

3. Might be the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.

   This sandwich while can be seen as simple to make still needs time and effort and not done the lazy way. Bacon was cooked to perfection and the hash browns were lovely golden brown. Bread was also warm and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Loved the meal and the view is great

4. I love this cafe, it’s located in a great area in Edinburgh where you can experience the Edinburgh vibe. The staff is really nice especially Ada. Ada makes the place feel like a real cafe, where the baristas are nice and you can meet really cool people. I love to take my chai latte from there!

   Also it has a great seating area for those who want to study or work!

5. I recently had breakfast at Calton View Cafe with two friends, and it was a wonderful experience. We each tried different dishes: I opted for the full breakfast, while my friends chose the poached eggs and salmon.

   The full breakfast was hearty and well-prepared, with each element cooked to perfection. The poached eggs were beautifully done—soft and runny just as they should be. The salmon was fresh and paired perfectly with the eggs, making for a light yet satisfying meal.The coffee was excellent, rich and smooth, providing the perfect complement to our meals.

   The service was warm and attentive, striking the right balance between being helpful and giving us space to enjoy our breakfast.

   Great location, food, and service! Overall, Calton View Cafe delivered a great start to our day, and we’ll definitely be returning!
