Down To Earth Coffee

1. This used to be the location of the finest coffee spot on St James’s Street and Twin Pines will be sorely missed. In its place is somewhere very average. Gone is the wonderful luxuriant decor and the coffee isn’t a patch on what was served before. I found the staff perfectly nice and can’t comment on the cakes and pastries which looked perfectly decent, as I didn’t have any. However I can’t let the coffee quality pass because it was poor and whatever they’re using for oat milk, do yourself a favour and avoid it because it was absolutely rank. Hopefully they can up their game but until then the best coffee on the street is found at Red Roaster at the bottom

2. I came here because I assumed it was a vegan coffee shop (the window is chock full of vegan pastries and doughnuts). I’m glad I realised it wasn’t because I was tempted to try their bacon roll and coffee deal. Nevertheless, it’s still a lovely coffee shop and the pastries are great (the pain au chocolate is my favourite so far, but I’ll be trying their buns and doughnuts soon too). I’ve only marked them down for charging 50p for milk alternatives.

3. Huge choice of Vegan cakes and savoury snacks- we had Sausage Roll & Cinnamon Roll both Vegan. Really good plus delicious coffees ☕️ 😋- Staff very helpful and smiley 😀

4. Visited on a busy weekend lunchtime but able to find a seat at the raised back section. Had great hot drinks and a couple of lovely vegan pastries from a large selection. A great choice for a drink/snack stop on a street with many dining options.

5. Absolutely stunning donuts (we had the choco hazelnut and biscoff) and a PROPER sized latte mug. 10/10, would definitely come again!
