I have briefly visited Bristol for the first time and this was the first spot I stopped by — such a lovely location, a coffee shop under a huge tree! 🌳☕️🧋🍵 lovely spot for good quality coffee, fresh air and people watching. really liked the atmosphere and the drinks (my iced matcha was delicious)
I’ve been going to Arrow for my coffee for many years now. Started when I was a student, now as a graduate, when I have time to visit with my job.
The friendliest guy around. Always remembers my order no matter how long it’s been, and so lovely to talk to.
I always recommend friends to go here if they need a great coffee and a friendly face.
I know it’s popular cafe in Bristol that many locals know. I used to enjoy the coffee here and always forget to post the review. Price is reasonable and feel free to talk to barista for any special needs. Take time to sit here ( I know sometimes it’s too noisy as the location along with many roads). Try to take weekdays afternoon, and enjoy the city views.
£5.10 for an iced oat latte – really?
Edit (reply to response) – I think the bottom line here is I have been to plenty of excellent independent coffee shops who serve great coffee for noticeably less (and Bristol is hardly short of them!) and that’s coming from someone who one might call a coffee snob. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than £4.50 in my life for any coffee in the UK, regardless of what kind or “personalisation”. I like supporting independent shops and make an effort to (I’ll visit the likes of Starbucks if there is no other choice and I really want a coffee) but this is simply too high a price and all my friends/colleagues who I told were also shocked.
Yes coffee machines are expensive and require training, but that’s no different to other good independent coffee shops who require those things. And in the case of my order, an iced latte, the only real hard part is pulling a good espresso. Then just mix with milk and ice – so it’s an easier coffee to make if anything!
I went through with the purchase because I wanted to sit outside somewhere and didn’t want to walk around anymore, having been shopping.
A tip for next time – for an iced (not ‘sort of cold’) coffee most customers will want more than 5 little ice cubes in there.
Just the kindest people you could ever hope to encounter on your daily coffee run. Always happy to help you with detailed explanations of their products and they’re even happy to chat with you if there isn’t a line.
As far as coffee goes, with most places it can be hit or miss depending on who’s working, etc. but with Ka:Fei I’ve been here at least 100 times and have always had a delightful experience due to their highly trained and skilled staff who genuinely care about every single cup they serve.
非常感謝大家!你們都太棒啦 ~
