A very cosy place, amazing coffee, lot’s of cakes and lovely Pastel de Nata. The staff is very friendly and there’s always a funy theme decoration.
Lovely place, went in with my friends and we got the best ice cream ever , I’m definitely going back to Cardiff just for this cafe
Brilliant coffee and pastry in an independent and authentic shop.
A really bright and cherry place to enjoy excellent coffee and food to either sit in or take away. Staff are great and it’s warm and inviting. Really like places I’ve been to in Lisbon. Interesting surroundings are very photogenic, but also cosy and individual. A world away from coffee shop chains. Quirky without trying too hard.
What a lovely little spot. Great selection of pastries and food, the coffee was great, and loved the decor – it felt very homey and authentic. But probably the best part about this was the owner, what a kind and lovely fellow! Highly recommend.
In Cardiff for 5 days. Had planned to spend 5 days 10am – 2pm in here doing some work on laptop, coffee, pastry, lunch etc before I left for the office.
However, first morning advised not allowed to get laptop out due to ambience requirements. And that I should be there to chill..
Empty cafe, no other customers, but still they enforced their ambience requirements.
I had no choice but to go elsewhere to work, have morning coffee and pastry and then lunch all week.
UPDATE
I acknowledge the response to my review above. The response is contradictory – is it no laptops, or laptops are ok but only for a brief period?
No laptops because you don’t want your give free power supply..? What about battery powered laptops? Also WiFi, why do you have wifi if customers can’t use it then?
You imply using a laptop would be disruptive..? I think what you are trying to say is no work calls. Using a laptop is a silent process which does not detract from the quiet ambience you seek.
Either way, you have been reviewed.
And perhaps you might wonder why the one time I’ve been in, and the 3 times since I’ve walked past, you have had NO customers.
Haven reread it, how bizarre to say customers think they are “entitled” to sit and use their laptops if they buy a coffee…. What a truly strange policy.
