Martha’s Vineyard

1. We went to Marthas for the lunchtime carvery and it was excellent! There was plenty of choice with roast beef, turkey and ham, chicken, fish, roasties, spuds, and veg. We both had the turkey and ham, and it was faultless. The portions were massive, and it was really good value, £19 for both meals. Excellent service and very friendly staff. The cocktails aren’t bad either. Will definitely return and would recommend it to others.

2. A little work might out. Our table was ready after 5 minutes which was good because a few of us were early. Staff very friendly and attentive. Food I choose duck spring rolls and the salmon for my main both delicious. The menu has a few supplements on it on the duck £5 extra and the 50/50 and fillet steak a bit more obviously with everything going up in price. You can’t really complain £24.95 for starter and main and bowling or the cinema whichever you prefer. Great family venue.

3. It’s Martha’s like – ye know what you’re getting! Tasty but basic Derry food, overworked staff, and the restaurant turns into a nightclub eventually. Atmosphere is terrible and you can’t hold a conversation. Staff are always harried but lovely. There’s always a christening and a spicy chicken pasta on the menu. Cocktails are maybe the last decently priced ones in the town.

4. Very swift service by the staff to seat us and take orders. Place was very busy, yet run smooth and efficiently. The food was delicious, fresh and of excellent quality. Kids loved getting the voucher for the ice cream sundae, which was so tasty also. Great family venue.

5. Delicious food and cocktails. I had the spicy beef pasta topped with lovely crispy tobacco onions and it was incredible.

   It’s inside the bowling/cinema so can be very busy but you can always get a drink while you wait if there’s no tables available.

   Prices are very reasonable.
