1. Ordered a bacon sandwhich, toasted tea cake and a piece of toast. Toast and bacon sandwhich came quick. But the tea cake came 10 minutes later and had butter on, even though it was stated at the till no butter. Was sent back and took another 7 minutes for a new one. (That then came extremely hard, hence the picture) The glass that came with the can of Pepsi was dirty and taken off the top of the coffee stand. Then when asked if she could take it back it was placed right back ontop of the coffee machine and not put in the wash.

2. On the food delivery side of the service for the roast cooked dinners and cottage, steak n kidney pie meals.
   This place, for a while now, has been hit and miss it’s 40ish/50 against how the food is going to be, it’s either chucked up, missing items poorly cooked, poor portions, hunt the meat and veg,
   though always swamped with mashed potatoes to make up for lacking of meat and veg!? or food arrives actually well presented all there and a reasonable portion .
   Vast majority of the (in-house) menu is overpriced for what is on offer and the small portion sizes on food and drinks., the omelettes and salads and oven chips, and thin slices of processed meats used , instead of off a joint, same as breakfast items,, aren’t up to much for the price, very poor portions.

   There’s no need for it, the owners should sit up and pay attention that the faults re service, staff attitude and training, cooking skills, food quality and portion size re cost and get on food and hospitality courses,, paying customers can easily go elsewhere.

   I haven’t ate in person on the premises for a while as if I did I would actually chuck it back at them when demanding a refund on the days they are chucking up the food!

3. I work in the Cwmbran area as an Uber Eats driver and have done so for just over two years. Yet, every single time I go into the cafe to collect a delivery I am treated awfully. I do not know why, as I try to be polite and respectful to all the restaurant staff I interact with – especially during busy hours. We may not be customers ourselves, but we are there to deliver food to their customers and as such should be treated respect and not as an unwelcome intruder. I shall not be collecting orders from this cafe in the future.

4. Came in for a breakfast after hearing about it, ordered extras and it was ready in minutes. Friendly staff, friendly atmosphere and good tasting food.

5. A well established business and one of the few places to go for a proper cooked dinner. They use fresh vegetables. We love the corned beef pie. The decor is dated as are the toilets. Sometimes it is too hot and airless but there is some seating outside. Staff obliging.
   Prices reasonable. The small breakfast is great.
