Great food. Reasonable prices. I recommend the surf and turf. I would not recommend the wings and ribs
We went for the steaknight deal.
The restaurant was freezing and they had to bring in a heater which was effective but noisy. Could have eaten in the bar but it was too busy.
Our scallops and steaks were lovely and well cooked. We enjoyed it all however a drink was included with the meal. A glass of wine or a pint so we both got wine. The deal was £55 per couple but we had to pay extra as only ONE drink per couple was included!!
Food ok. Service shocking. Staff is rude, especially the manager or the person introduced as manager. Looks like the staff wants you to leave quickly. Food was not all finished and already taken plates away. Hence food fell on the floor. And just sorry from the waitress. Really?
When I went into conversation with the manager, the reply was I already had enough of you. What kind of manager replies like this? Even if you had enough Customers complaining, you would not reply like this.
We enjoyed our time here but the place needs a bit of an update, it is a little dark and dreary. The food was edible but I had the cod and there was plenty of it but more batter then fish unfortunately. Others had different dishes and they said they were fine.
The food was OK for pub grub. Generous portions. Something for most people on the menu. What really ruined the meal was the amount of flies around us. There was no time where we didn’t have flies trying to land on us or our food. Couldn’t enjoy the meal at all. I said it to the staff as we were paying and the answer was a shrug of the shoulders, that there was nothing they could do about it. There was a bug zapper thing behind the bar switched off. Other places I’ve eaten have somehow figured it out. Would not go back again as the attitude to the fly problem is pure laziness.
