The Chester

1. Had a great experience here! Luckily it was midweek so it wasn’t too busy. Enjoyed cocktails, beer and some very very good food. The muscles are delicious, the steak was amazing and the rest of the groups food looked amazing. Definitely a great place.

2. Called in for Sunday lunch. We hadn’t booked but they managed to squeeze us into the busy bar. Great portions. Chicken wrapped in bacon came with mash, roasties, parsnips, cauliflower & broccoli. Chicken was soft & juicy. The steak was cooked perfectly & came with tobacco onions, chips & pepper sauce. Bar staff were very friendly as was the girl who served our food. Will be back soon!! Pints were great too!!

3. Very disappointing!! Booked for bday. Place need updated just looks old and tatty. Staff that nights was nice, young but friendly. Staff dump lots of expensive ans sentimental items even after we where told it could all be collected hectic day..

4. We only wanted a drink there was 6 of us so the lady Said we could hv a table unless it was needed we spent over £100.00 so I think they shd maybe hv an area were people know they can go just to hv a drink as we really enjoyed it but don’t think we will be back because we aren’t sure if you have to order food or not.

5. Dinner was absolutely delicious. The chowder is gorgeous (but get some tobasco sauce in for it). I also had the nacho chicken burger from the specials menu which was the size of my head and throughly knocked me out. I was too stuffed for dessert but had a wee nibble of the school dinner style cake and custard which was stunning. That really brought me back. Staff were lovely and attentive. If the music was just a touch lower while the food is being served so people can still talk without shouting that would improve things for me.
