The Coffee House

1. Our first encounter with Edimburgh food. It wasn’t disappointing but it wasn’t memorable, it is alright.
   You get a very nice view of one of the main streets in Old Town but only if you are lucky enough to get that one spot, others don’t have it 😅

   The Scotland breakfast was very filling, I won’t deny that and with so many different flavors 😅
   As someone who likes spicy food I would say that I missed some hotness in mine 😢

2. We went today, August 26, at 7:40 in the morning, we ordered two Scottish breakfasts, and from the beginning the girl who was there treated us very poorly, as if she didn’t want to work there. Then a boy served us and brought us the food, which was very good. But the score goes for the horrible service of that girl who didn’t want to work. At one point we even asked her for water and she turned on the tap so we could serve ourselves. I do not recommend the place while that girl is working there.

3. This place should be shut down. The caramel slice tasted like sand, my partners BLT was disgusting and both my parents reported too sweet, tasteless coffees…. There was no lock on the bathroom door in a toilet that was unsanitary & gave underground squatters dwelling vibes… really how this is still open on the high street is beyond me. Don’t make the mistake we made of falling into the tourist trap!!

4. £5 for yoghurt and granola, absolutely laughable the state of it. Yoghurt was low quality and what little granola I had was stale. The coffee wasn’t much better, tasted like the milk was past its best. Not somewhere I’d return to when I visit Edinburgh again.

5. The staff is so friendly here! I came to have a drink and sit outside at their really lovely outdoor seating, and I can’t recommend it enough. A soda and ice cream are the perfect snack and the workers behind the counter were very attentive and kind of:)))
