Great little space that we popped into for Brunch. Went in as soon as it opened; food was great, smmtaff were friendly and helpful and the food was of great value. Club Sandwich was a definite favourite!
Great little bar and restaurant! Good quality beer and amazing roast dinners! Attentive staff and dog friendly, handy having a well covered outside area for the unpredictable Welsh weather! We had the roast sharing board for two which was amazing the meat cooked perfectly and large portions
Had one of the nicest Sunday dinners here that I’ve ever had! We were so impressed by the quality of food and the Wine was beautiful also. Amazing location and brilliantly run!
Well done to all involved. We will be back!
We decided to try The Pepper Pot Bar and Grill for lunch on our last full day in New Quay. The food and service were excellent so we made a reservation for dinner that evening. Dinner was no different. It was, by far, the best meal I had during this vacation. We will definitely return on our next visit to New Quay.
The pepper Pot is situated a stones throw from the picturesque village of New Quay. This pub is full of character
The bar and grill offers locally sourced home cooked pub classics with an upmarket feel and taste, along with a specials board updated regularly. Although the classics and standard menu is more than enough to keep you coming back for more, the specials board is where you will find what really sets the Pepper Pot apart from the rest.
We visited whenever we had the chance and tried everything we could.
Firstly, the Sunday dinner, having arrived without a booking, the staff were very accommodating and made room for us between reservations. They were extremely attentive, kind-hearted, and welcoming.
The dinner itself was compact and packed a real punch with everything home made and cooked using fresh and local ingredients. The Lamb was plentiful, juicey, and tender served with a handful of tasty roast potatoes, a large wedge of stuffing, seasonal greens, and a lone roast carrot and pig in blanket. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in quality and taste.
The Oysters were freshly caught and prepared. They tasted just like the ocean, perfectly pared with tobassco and lemon to break up the flavors mild flavour of the Oysters.
The classic fish and chips.
The cod was cooked with care and attention, the batter golden brown, crispy and fragrant, with the fish soft flakey and mild tasting. The double cooked chips were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside some of the best fish and chips I’ve had.
