The Pickled Duck Cafe

1. On arrival we were told we would be waiting 30 minutes in what seemed like an attempt to get us to leave. We were then given a table within 5 minutes only to be told they were only doing the breakfast menu despite others around us having lunch. This was 1.30pm. Disappointing as we were looking forward to eating here. I would not recommend.

2. Stopped here for a fantastic breakfast driving between Northern Ireland and our day trip out to the Fanad lighthouse/Great Pollet Sea Arch and it was perfect! Food was fast, delicious and conveniently located. I liked their menu options too. We shared the full Irish and a Belgian waffle, both with a great cup of tea and coffee. the waffle came with syrup, strawberries AND Nutella! Can’t go wrong here.

3. Popped in for a quick bite very busy so just had to wait a few minutes. Friendly staff and nice astomspere great selection of light bites and pastries tea /coffee etc. Free parking outside or down the road beside the supermarket.

4. Brilliant place to eat in Derry City Centre. Centrally located just off the walls. Food and service was fantastic. Open for breakfast early on a Sunday morning.

5. Met up with a friend and was a few mins late. We ordered drinks which were served and moved seats as we were in a draught. While changing seats my friend dropped a bottle of coke which made quite a mess.
   One of the assistants very kindly came over and cleared the mess. We waited at least in total 25 minutes then called the waitress over to take our order. She said she thought we were waiting 4 someone else to join us (which we weren’t).
   We placed our order which finally arrived. My friend lost most of the bottle of coke which had dropped, which they didn’t offer to replace.
   My friend ordered a fry which was served with lightly cooked bacon, cooked tinned tomatoes and cool beans which really disappointed her. However she didn’t want to complain.
   Disappointing.😒
