Waterstones Café

1. Sometimes go there for refreshment a nice cafeteria either ground floor or second floor upstairs gets busy , it’s a nice spot to meet up or just have a coffee/tea

2. Superb cafe, on ground floor so easily accessible and the young lady who served me was both efficient and friendly, and she made a very decent vanilla Latte too!!

3. If you like bookish vibes, this is your place. There’s coffee and a small selection of cake and sandwich, although half of the sandwiches ran out by 12:30 on the Sunday we visited. There are cafes on the G/F and top floor respectively. The top floor cafe has plenty of seating (see photos).

   The Earl Grey blackcurrant cake in the first photo tastes similar to a Victoria sponge cake you’d get from Sainsbury with a hint of Earl Grey, but I appreciate the novelty.

4. Pros:
   – Good place to read a book or study
   – Great coffee
   – Welcoming staff
   – Good WIFI

   Cons:
   – Poor bakery and eating options, no healthy snacks
   – Cold in winter, even colder in the summer. It doesn’t have to be 18 degrees inside in the summer…
   – Tables are sometimes dirty
   – Lighting set up is a bit weird. Spotlights usually flash on your face like a car headlight

5. Calming and therapeutic vibe. I enjoyed every second of my time here.
